PRP Therapy

Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP) therapy is an advanced skincare treatment that leverages your body’s natural healing abilities to enhance tissue growth and repair. The procedure involves injecting a concentration of platelets—derived from your own blood—into targeted areas of your skin. These platelets release growth factors that stimulate collagen production, accelerate tissue regeneration, and promote healthier, more youthful skin. PRP therapy helps to tighten skin, reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, improve scars, and restore a radiant, rejuvenated complexion.

As we age, collagen production naturally declines, leading to a loss of skin elasticity, the formation of wrinkles, and overall thinning of the skin. During a PRP treatment, the platelets injected into your skin release a variety of growth factors that encourage the regeneration of skin tissue and stimulate the production of new collagen. This process results in smoother, more even-toned skin, reduced blemishes, and an overall healthier, more youthful appearance. PRP therapy is often used to improve skin texture and elasticity, making it a popular option for those seeking non-invasive skin rejuvenation.

Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP) Therapy Procedure

PRP therapy is a minimally invasive treatment that harnesses the healing power of your own blood to rejuvenate and repair your skin. The procedure typically takes around 30 to 60 minutes and involves the following steps:

Step 1: Blood Collection
The process begins with a simple blood draw, usually from your arm. A small amount of blood is collected—typically around 10-20 mL—just like a routine blood test.

Step 2: Platelet Separation (Centrifugation)
Once the blood is collected, it is placed into a centrifuge, a machine that spins the blood at high speed. This process separates the blood into its individual components, concentrating the platelets into a rich plasma. The result is a small vial of Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP), which contains a high concentration of platelets, growth factors, and healing properties.

Step 3: Numbing the Treatment Area
To ensure comfort during the procedure, a topical numbing cream is applied to the treatment area. This helps minimize any discomfort from the injections, making the treatment virtually pain-free.

Step 4: PRP Injection
Once the skin is numbed, the PRP is injected into the targeted areas using a fine needle. The injections are typically administered to areas of concern, such as the face, neck, or hands, to stimulate collagen production, reduce fine lines and wrinkles, and improve skin texture. Depending on the treatment area, multiple injections may be needed.
